Growl is a cool tool for Mac OS X that provides notifications when an application needs your attention. If you start using Growl, you will probably find that you become totally dependent on it...
...and then you will be sad that a few of your favourite apps don't support it.
GrowlPhoto is a plugin for Apple's iPhoto. It provides notifications when you finish importing photos from your camera.
10.5 (Leopard), 10.4 (Tiger): Version 0.8. Stay up to date by subscribing to the RSS appcast.
10.3 (Panther): Version 0.70. Known bugs: Causes compatibility problems with other applications in rare cases (older programs built using PyObjC). Works with iPhoto 6 only.
GrowlPhoto works in iPhoto 6, 7 and 8 on Mac OS X 10.3 or later. You'll also need Growl itself.
Mount the disk image, and double-click 'Install GrowlPhoto'.
The next time you run iPhoto, it will register with Growl!
Mount the disk image, and double-click 'Uninstall GrowlPhoto'.
Alternatively, you can manually remove GrowlPhoto from /Library/InputManagers/ and ~/Library/InputManagers (Tiger only). For older versions (<0.4), remove GrowlPhoto.bundle from ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/.
